HOT & HEALTHY!

Hello and How are you today?   I’m feeling HOT & HEALTHY!

I love Monday’s for what they offer!  Monday’s are like hitting re-set on the calendar, do you feel like that too?  I’ve been super busy working with my clients in my 7 Weeks Summer Slim Down group and love all of the awesome slimming and blissing stories!  I was inspired this morning to pop in with a quick little message for you here to SUPPORT you in feeling good and keeping cool in the heat of summer! 

But first, I have a little story to share!  Over the past few weeks I’ve been enjoying my summer theme and intention for slimming & blissing through the season!  So get this, as I’ve shared with you in the past…summer is my least favorite season because I don’t especially like being HOT, right?!   OK, so I’ve been intentionally creating BLISS in my life and decided to get back to doing something that I love, yoga!  In the past, I would’ve told you “NOT HOT yoga” … Well, I took a hot yoga class a few weeks ago and it has now become part of my weekly routine at least 2-3+ days a week!!!  HOT YOGA in the SUMMER…CREATING BODY, MIND & SOUL BLISS for me!!! Yoga has been a passion of mine for many years but after moving away from the yoga studio I practiced at – I had never found the right studio close enough to my home to go to regularly, and now I have at the new studio that recently opened near me!  It feel so great to be in the student seat, taking the class and nourishing my body with this gift!  Is there something you have PASSION for that you may have fallen away from lately – or over the years?  I encourage you to take a step [cross over] and take that class that you’ve been deep down thinking about or secretly have been waiting for the right time – THE RIGHT TIME IS NOW!  Take the step and create the BLISS in your LIFE!  By taking this step you will also support releasing your excess weight – both physically & mentally!  Please share your PASSION ACTIVITY with me!  I want to know your next step and want to send positive & blissful energy out to you! 

Another great perk that’s come from my yoga passion is that I’m now working on helping the studio create a nutritional wellness program to offer their students!  I’ll be participating in their ribbon cutting – official grand opening on Friday, sharing healthy green smoothies, recipes and more!!!  How COOL is that???photo(9)

Today’s HOT & HEALTHY Lesson for Higher Health:

Fueling your body with whole REAL FOOD – raw fruits and vegetables is the key to your HIT & HEALTHY body!  Whether you just want to lose a few LBS or you have a bigger health challenge, eating enough F & V’s is your answer!  Here’s a short shopping list to support you in TAKING ACTION in fueling your body right!

Raw Walnuts – Eat 2 tbsp for a mid-AM or mid-PM snack, support your brain & heart

Avocados – Eat ½ – 1 whole small avocado daily!  Healthy fat for your body – weight control, cardiovascular support, so many more benefits…a real SUPER-FOOD!

Spinach – Improve your skin and your colon!  Eat at least 1 cup daily!

Blueberries – Packed with antioxidants and Vitamin C and so much more…Improve your heart health, reduce risk of cancer, boost your brain power, +++++ Eat at least 1 cup 3 times a week or more!

Apples – Apples have over 10,000 phytonutrients, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!” Sums it up!

In this short shopping list you can have several satisfying mini-meals!

  • Combine ½ cup blueberries with 2 tbsp crushed raw walnuts = energizing!
  • Shred 1 cup spinach, mix with avocado and a sprinkle of crushed raw walnuts = satisfying!
  • Combine 1 apple, chopped with ½ cup blueberries and 2 tbsp crushed walnuts = delightful treat!
  • Combine 1 cup spinach with sliced apple & 2 tbsp raw walnuts = crunchy, filling & tasty!
