Beauty Essentials for the Holiday Season!

How has your week been going?  This week I’ve been settling in welcoming the official holiday season; I’ve also been enjoying nourishing my body, embracing Holiday Cheer and have put my Beauty Essentials at the top of my MUST DO list! 

Are you still feeling “stuffed” from thanksgiving last week and leftovers throughout the weekend? Have you felt the urge to throw in the towel already and forget about trying to be healthy until the New Year?  I know how easy it is to fall off track and want to give up…but I’m here to encourage you and to tell you, DON’T GIVE IN TO THAT!!!

Over the past week and a half I’ve enjoyed celebrating both of my parent’s birthdays along with Thanksgiving in the middle so I’ve been feeling a little off track myself!  I’ve been happily enjoying my nutrition plan this week with all of my tasty yet cleansing & healing recipes that I’ve been sharing in my Harvest your Higher Health, Holiday Challenge (we’re in WK 3)!

Going out for dinner and celebrations can easily affect you from head to toe (I’ve got a couple of blemishes this week to prove it) especially when you have fun festivities going on that you don’t want to miss !  Ideally you’ll want to stay ahead with a game plan!  It’s not too late to get your [simple] plan in motion! 

Here are 3 Simple Beauty Essentials to keep you feeling & looking great, slender and glowing for the Holiday Season:

HYDRATE:  Upon waking have a glass of water (at least 8 ounces) right when you wake up! Plan to have ½ your body weight in ounces of water DAILY with at least one to two lemons – juiced into your water!  Be refreshed, hydrated & glowing~!  The lemon juice will help you cleanse unwanted toxins, purify your body, give you a glow, plus so many more health benefits!

NOURISH:  Plan to have an apple a day, along with daily servings of spinach and/or dark leafy greens like kale or swiss chard, have raw (or lightly steamed) veggies daily like celery, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, green beans.  Stock your fridge and be prepared ahead of time!  These foods are purifying and will keep you feeling cheery because your clothes fit nicely (as your slender down) and your skin is glowing~!

REST:  Beauty rest!  Plan to get to bed with a bedtime schedule with enough time for ~7+ hours of beauty sleep!  Rest is essential for good health & longevity; however, the bonus benefit with giving your body the sleep time you need is…Energy to enjoy the season, be in a good mood with holiday cheer plus you’ll look and feel great!
